Research Summary
Understanding the structure/function relationship of biological macromolecules is important for understanding how living systems function in physiology and disease. My research focuses on the structure/function relationship of adhesion proteins and their assemblies. We develop computational models from molecular simulations to coarse-graining and mesoscale modeling techniques. Results from our studies provide new mechanistic insights into the role of adhesions in living systems.
