Biography

Sandy Smith earned her doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Special Education from Texas A&M University. Dr. Smith began their career in education as a paraprofessional for children with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD).  After supporting students with EBD at both the elementary and secondary levels, Dr. Smith began coaching teachers on classroom and behavior management. She continues to serve as an educational consultant in general and special education settings. Dr. Smith’s research interests include coaching classroom management, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and interventions for students with EBD.
