Biography

Dr. Andrew A. Chang is a primary care physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine. His clinical interests include Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes management, patient-centered care, shared decision-making, and patient education.

 

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Chang is an Associate Professor in the University of Utah School of Medicine, teaching and mentoring medical students as a Learning Community Coach and Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship Director for the Urban Underserved, and is Faculty in the Academy for Communication in Healthcare.

Dr. Chang attended medical school at New York Medical College, and residency/chief residency at the New York University-Bellevue Internal Medicine Primary Care Residency Program. Prior to moving to Utah, he worked for 15 years in the New York City Public Hospital System.
