Research Statement
The major themes that tie my practice, teaching, service, and scholarship together are 1) improving the design and implementation of preservice teacher preparation programs and pedagogies, and 2) rethinking P-12 English Language Arts and social studies curricula to be more representative of the diversity of racial, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic peoples of the United States, with a particular emphasize on accurate, contemporary representations of Indigenous peoples.
