Research Summary
My research and teaching interests include feminist, environmental, and posthuman rhetorical performances as they emerge in a variety of forms. My scholarship draws on feminist and critical race theory, cultural studies, and animal and environment studies as they intersect with rhetorical practices to consider how people create narratives of place.

Biography
I was a newspaper journalist in Dallas, Texas for a decade before returning to school for my graduate studies. I studied and worked at the University of Texas--Arlington, where I served as the FYW Assistant Director before being appointed as the Writing Center Director. In that role, I collalborated with the VP of Research and other University committees to develop graduate student and faculty writing support programs. I joined the U in 2017 as an Assistant Professor (lecturer) and was appointed as the Associate Writing Program Director. In this capacity, I helped oversea a program assessessment and programatic redesign.
