Biography
Currently, I am an assistant professor (lecturer) in the Department of Psychology, and my area of concentration is in both health and social psychology. Before becoming an assistant professor, I spent time as a Higher Education Instructional Consultant for the Martha Bradley Evans Center for Teaching Excellence, where my areas of expertise resided in competency-based assessment systems and curriculum development. My research focuses on psychosocial factors contributing to male body image pathologies and the development and manifestation of pervasive social influences on men's ability to perceive a healthy body image. My passion for teaching has focused on a slew of psychosocial-based topics that I have taught across three universities - Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Utah, and Southern New Hampshire University.
