  • On 9/27/21 the College of Fine Arts held a celebration event commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the building of the Marriott Center for Dance and the contributions made from the Marriott family. Many members of the Marriott family were in attendance. I served as the A/V technician for the event which had video projection and amplification. I was also paid to produce a documentary on the Marriott family and it's history regarding the funding of our building which will be listed in the Entrepreneurial Experience section of the FAR.   • In Spring 2021 I collaborated with New York artist Jennifer Archibald to put her choreography to camera to be shown in the University of Utah School of Dance‚Äôs Spring 2021 GALA concert. . Cinematographer & Editor, 01/01/2021 - 02/27/2021. Department service.

  • Department Wide Technical Assistance with Classroom Technology - Zoom Setup for coursework. When COVID hit I outfitted each of our studios for remote learning with wired internet computers connected to TV's in all six studio in the MCD. I also for the next year assisted almost daily in setting up our theater as an overflow classroom space that could be used to facilitate the needs of our students and teachers.   • On 1/16/20 & 1/17/20 I filmed and archived a panel discussion called "Dancing Around Race" hosted by Dr. Kate Mattingly. On the second day there was a performance with the panelists. Videographer/Editor, 01/16/2020 - 01/17/2020. Department service.
  • On 11/13/19 I filmed and archived a panel discussion hosted by the Dance Studies Working Group and arranged by Kate Mattingly with guest Jennifer Archibald who discussed her experiences as an African American Dancer in the United States.   • In the year 2019 I researched and developed a system in which the School of Dance could come in line with current national copyright best practices. Over the summer I researched copyright law in regards to music and stage performance. This research led to me developing an informational packet geared towards educating our students and faculty about the nuances and importance of music copyright and licensing. We also have begun implementing a new system by which students and faculty in collaboration with myself are licensing music for our main stage performances. Program Developer, 05/01/2019 - present.   • In the Spring of 2019 I was involved with an initiative push for Graduate Studies Recruitment. I produced a 30 second stinger promo as well as 2 Documentary Style videos. These projects were under heavy crunch and I was able to produce very high quality products in a matter of weeks for the Graduate School to use for a push for applicants.   • Video Production of Promotional Material for the School of Dance. During the year of 2019 I shot and produced promo videos for every single main stage show for the School of Dance. Utah Ballet II Spring 2019, Modern Senior Concert Spring 2019 (2 Videos), GALA Spring 2019 (2 Videos), Utah Ballet I Fall 201 (2 Videos), PDC Fall 2019 (2 Videos), Graduate Concert Fall 2019 (3 Videos), Ballet Showcase Fall 2019 (3 Videos).   • Audio Mixing and Mastering for every main stage show held at the Marriott Center for Dance for the School of Dance. This process includes occasionally recording material as well as the act of helping students and faculty mix together music for their stage performances. I also master all of the tracks so that they sound as good as possible in our theatre and then teach the stage crew how to use and operate the sound board.   • Video Documentation and Editing of all main stage performances for the School of Dance. This work includes managing a number of videographers who along with myself film every show at least twice or more (with the exception of student concert which is only filmed once) for archives and audition reel purposes at two camera angles. After filming I edit the two camera angles into a completed video which is available for our archives as well as for students and faculty to use in audition reel material. I handle the order and processing of material to be given to students and faculty and maintain all of the video archives for the department.   • Equipment Management. In the A/V room we provide audio and video equipment to our students and faculty. Part of my job is to oversee and manage this equipment and use a check-in check-out process to allow people to use equipment as needed. This job includes inventory and cataloguing, filing contracts and logs, maintenance of equipment, and purchasing decisions to keep equipment up to date. A/V Room Manager, 01/01/2019 - present.   • My contributions to the School of Dance during COVID were highlighted in the STUDIO '21 magazine in the "Learning in the Time of Corona" article. This article discussed the ways in which the different schools have adapted to these trying times. 06/01/2021.
  • I was featured in the College of Fine Arts "Magnifying" column on February 16, 2021. The article was about my work during COVID and how I outfitted our school for high quality multi-camera live-streaming, paving the way for performance opportunities for our students during a time where performance wouldn't be possible otherwise. 02/16/2021.
