Research Summary

Environmental Justice examines particulars of specific contaminated landscapes, utilizing painting, photography, and video, to visually expand upon the issues that arise from the landscape, and community voices. I allow something unanticipated to arrive, affirming my belief that art is essentially political, because for me, interesting art challenges preconceptions. I am not searching for an objective truth; my sense of place is defined by the actions and reflections of the community.
