Teaching Philosophy

I like to make teaching an engaging and interactive atmosphere in the classroom. I try to vary the lesson by using  different instruction styles, when possible. In class,  I often ask students questions and encourage them to speak up as well.

When teaching, I often tell students that the skills they develop in using new library research skills will help them with their higher education and future career plans. Humor, keeping the lesson on a timely schedule, updating lessons and paying attention to each student is part of my teaching plan.
