Research Statement

My current research interests are in looking at ways to draw graduate students to use more of the Marriott Library resources.  Our library offers a thesis/dissertation writing boot camp, a graduate writing center,  and a social to draw peers together.

I will look into ways to promote films from our vast collections. Some years ago, the Eclectic FIlm Series committee took on the task to highlight films from the library's collection each semester.

I have been interested in libraries in the developing countriy of Ethiopia. With little funding and not much support, librarians and libraries are there to serve local communities. As a volunteer librarian, I have offered training session to those libraries over the years and shared some knowledge with them on subjects like reference services, bibliographic instruction, collection development and research consultations.
