COLBY JAMES CLARK
Postdoc Fellow, Philosophy
Research Summary: Broadly construed, my areas of specialization are environmental philosophy and complex systems theory. I write on topics that bridge the philosophy of science and applied ethics. The philosophy of science side of my research concerns problems of scale, strategies to model resilience, and the nature of boundaries. In applied ethics, I study practical issues within their social-ecological contexts that relate to climate change, conservation, and environmental justice.

GOHAR HARUTYUNYAN
Research Summary: My primary research interests fall within the area of diversity and inclusion in organizations, and center predominantly on the role that individual differences (e.g., in social class, cultural background) play in shaping employees’ and leaders’ behavior. My main stream of research focuses broadly on how and when social class - hierarchy based on income, education and occupation - shapes employee behavior in ways that maintain and perpetuate social class inequality within organizations.
