Research Summary

My primary research interests are in ecological complexity theory, especially epistemological issues pertaining to resilience, catastrophe, scale, and the nature of boundaries. I am also interested in applied environmental ethics as it relates to management and restoration ethics. My most recent writing engages topics related to the the role of geography in explanations of contingent ecosystem dynamics, norms of species translocation practices, and solar radiation management (SRM) ethics.
