Dr. Boornazian has contributed to the website Learn Jazz Standards.com; he was awarded a Björn Bärnheim Research Fellowship at the Hogan Jazz Archive; his peer-reviewed publications include articles in The Saxophone Symposium, Jazz Education in Research and Practice, and Jazz Perspectives. As a performing artist known for using the saxophone with electronic effects, he is featured on multiple studio/live albums as a leader, sideman, and collaborator; he also regularly tours the USA and Europe.
