Research Summary

Dr. Kilbride's scholarship addresses the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genetics and genomics, with a focus on direct-to-consumer (DTC) genetic testing. Her current research is supported by a K01 Career Development Award from the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). In addition to her ELSI work, Dr. Kilbride is also interested in ethical questions related to the physician-patient relationship and gatekeeping in medicine.
