Biography

I am a licensed engineer from the Nepal Engineering Council and a lifetime member of the Nepal Engineering Association. I am a quick learner, hardworking, self-motivated, determined, and adaptable to new situations. I did my undergraduate in Civil Engineering at Tribhuvan University Nepal. After finishing my undergraduate, I got the chance to work in one of the reputed consulting firms as a design engineer. It was during this time I got firsthand experience with civil engineering. I learned about the construction process of different structures such as buildings, bridges, roads, etc. I was involved in designing concrete and steel structures based on prevailing building design guidelines suggested by Nepal National Building Code (NBC). I was also involved as a facilitator in a Kantipur Engineering College, Dhpakhel, Nepal, where I facilitated students on Structural analysis and design courses. Currently, I am working under Dr. Chris P Pantelides at the Unversity of Utah, and my research is about recessed splice sleeves in accelerated bridge construction.
