Research Summary
I am primarily interested in social and political philosophy, health care justice, and the ethics of gene-editing technologies. I also have broad interests in applied ethics, especially bioethics, as well as philosophy of biology, and philosophy of science. My dissertation is on the state's obligation to emergency management: (1) why the state has such an obligation; (2) the role of scientists as policy advisors; and (3) the goals of the healthcare and public health systems.

Biography
I became interested in philosophy my senior year in high school by reading about philosophy of biology and the ethics of gene-editing. I began college as a genetics major, then added philosophy as a second major during my first semester while taking my first philosophy class, intro ethics. I fell in love with philosophy and decided to pursue it. I am happy to talk about anything related to philosophy, science, etc. :)
