Biography

Mark McGrath, AICP, is the Director of Community Development for the City of Taylorsville, Utah. In that role he oversees the Planning, Building, and Business License Divisions of the City. Mr. McGrath is also co-editor of Utah Planner, the official publication of the Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA-Utah), a member of the APA-Utah Executive Committee, and an Associate Instructor at the University of Utah Department of City and Metropolitan Planning. Prior to his appointment at Taylorsville in 2000 he served as the City Planner for the City of Midvale, Utah for nine years. Mr. McGrath is a graduate of the University of Utah with a BS in Urban Planning and was certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) in 2000. Mark currently lives in Sugar House with his wife Tavia and two children Isabella and Maxim.
