Biography

 

Zhou Yu is Associate Professor of Community and Planning at the Department of Family and Consumer Studies in the University of Utah, where he directs the Financial Planning and Counseling Program. His research focuses on housing economics, particularly among immigrants and in the urban context.  His research pertains to homeownership, household formation, and housing markets in China.  His research has been supported by institutions such as the Russel Sage Foundation, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCKF), and Peking University-Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.  His recent publications have appeared in journals, such as Urban StudiesInternational Migration Review, and Ethnic and Racial Studies.  He is a recent recepient of Ameritrade Institutional NextGen Grant and Daniels Fund Leadership in Ethics Education Award. He received his PhD in Planning from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. 
 
宇宙,现任美国犹他大学家庭与消费学系副教授,财政规划项目主任。1973年中国北京市生,北京交通大学(原北方交通大学)建筑学工学学士, 美国弗吉尼亚理工大学(Virginia Tech)城市规划硕士,南加州大学(University of Southern California)城市规划博士。
 
专长为城市人口与住房。研究课题包括移民住房权属及区位选择,人口流动,以及中国城镇住房分配,移民住房问题。曾在世界银行城市研究论坛,美国人口学会年会等数十个学术及专业会议上宣讲论文。曾在Urban Studies, Housing Studies, Habitat International, Real Estate Economics,中国人口科学等杂志上发表论文。研究资助来自蒋经国基金会,美国住房建设部(HUD),及北京大学-林肯研究院等。
