Research Summary

I am interested in rhetorical constructions of subjectivity, particularly as manifested in both K-12 and higher educational settings. I am also interested in education policy and reform, student empowerment discourse, and student-driven education programs. My previous research focused on popular culture representations of domestic violence, particularly in film, through a feminist/critical studies lens.
