My research focuses on electrochemical energy storage technologies, which include Li-ion batteries, flow batteries, CO2 reduction and etc.  My lab tackles the challenges in energy storage technologies with a multi-scale approach: we not only design new materials for better performance, we also study the mass transport and reaction inside batteries, and combine machine learning methods with physical modeling to optimize the usage of batteries.
