Biography
Diane Chapman is an Assistant Professor (clinical) in the Division of Health Systems and Community Based Care at the University of Utah College of Nursing. Dr. Chapman received both her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Degree as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Utah. While in her DNP program, she also completed Graduate Certificates in Global Health and Nursing Education.
Dr. Chapman practices as a nurse practitioner in the family practice setting with a particular emphasis on the care of global populations, especially refugees and immigrants. She has experience providing care for patients from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Chapman has taught in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Her teaching areas of interest include DNP core courses (pathophysiology, pharmacology, physical assessment), clinical practicum, and global health.
