Teaching Philosophy

As an instructor, I strive to enhance my courses as well as myself as an instructor. I try to focus on teaching mastery as well as preparing students to be a recreational therapy (RT) professionals. Therefore, I am looking for new, different, or innovative ways to engage all students as practicing to be professionals. Moreover, my main goal is to develop pedagogical experiences that are clinically relevant and advances clinical practice within recreational therapy. Since the majority of students will be entering the workforce as a recreational therapist, it was important that courses reflect being a practicing professional.
