Biography

Senthil Nachimuthu is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics and a Research Associate in Epidemiology at the School of Medicine. Dr. Nachimuthu also works as the Chief Medical Officer of Nightingale Open Science, a non-profit intiative founded at the University of Chicago. His goal is to use of data to improve the health of individuals and populations. His research interests include healthcare interoperability, analytics, machine learning, epidemiology, infectious diseases and patient safety. He has received his medical degree from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India and his PhD in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He has been inducted as a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
