Biography

Mr. Steed is a member of Kirton McConkie's Tax and Estate Planning and International Law sections. His practice emphasizes a combination of tax and financial strategies for both domestic and international clients, advising private clients on their estates, asset protection, legacies, trusts, charitable giving and tax controversy concerns, such as voluntary disclosure proceedings.

Mr. Steed has served as the chair of the Utah Bar's section on Nonprofit Organizations and presently serves on the boards of several charities. He is actively involved with development offices for universities, multi-national religious and educational institutions and other large non-profit organizations with respect to formation, governance, planned giving and development.

Mr. Steed has published numerous articles and is a frequent speaker on topics involving areas of estate planning, taxation, nonprofit, cross border planning and investments, and multi-jurisdictional practice. He has been recognized as one of Utah's Legal Elite for estate planning and non-profit and as a Mountain States Super Lawyer for estate planning and probate. Mr. Steed an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is certified Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP).
