Biography

Lori Seppi is an appellate attorney for the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association. She graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2002. Following graduation, she clerked for Judge James Z. Davis at the Utah Court of Appeals. She joined the Appellate Division at the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association in 2003 and has been representing indigent criminal defendants in Utah’s appellate courts since then. She has handled numerous appeals involving a wide range of topics, including discovery, jury selection, criminal procedure, the rules of evidence, statutory interpretation, constitutional rights, sufficiency of the evidence, and sentencing. She has also authored articles and presented continuing legal education seminars on a variety of topics related to criminal procedure and appellate practice. Lori is a member of the Utah Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Appellate Procedure. She has also served and continues to serve on various committees and sections of the Utah State Bar.
