Research Statement
Current projects: a book on the Gulen movement, the most powerful Islamic movement of Turkey, and Islamic Calvinisim. This book will assemble the socio-historical background of the movement by examining the life-story of Gülen within the larger national and regional forces that were shaping politics in Turkey. Alsoa an edited book about the Eastern Question and the Treaty of Berlin (1878).
