  • 2012 FRESHMAN REVIEW Plan and conduct a portfolio review that is required for all incoming sophomore students. Portfolios will be submitted at the end of Spring semester the Foundation Program year. Approval by the entire Graphic Design faculty is required. Acceptance is based upon adequate understanding of concepts and execution of foundation works. Academic records will also be considered. 2012 SOPHOMORE REVIEW Plan and conduct 2nd year formal review of design students & portfolio review of graphic design applicants for continuance in the program. Each student will have an individual interview with the Graphic Design Faculty. Their entire sophomore work will be evaluated. Reviewer, 02/15/2012 - 04/30/2012. Department service.
  • Antista/Fairclough Scholarship. Coordinate the selection process by arranging full time Graphic Design Faculty that will invite 6 junior level students to apply for this award. Faculty will review applications and narrow down to three candidates for final review to be conducted by Tom Antista and Tom Fairclough. Coordinator, 08/14/2011 - 03/18/2012. Department service.
  • Ongoing evaluation of student applicants for the Antista/Fairclough Scholarship. Six candidates were selected to submit their portfolios for consideration for the Scholarship. The review process was conducted by the Graphic Design faculty, and three candidates were submitted. One student was selected to receive the Scholarship. Coordinator, 05/2011 - present. Honors & Awards

  • The establishment of the College of Fine Arts Raymond C. Morales Post-doctorate and Post-MFA Fellowships To promote diversity within the College of Fine Arts faculties by encouraging graduates from underrepresented groups who have completed a terminal degree to pursue a career in college teaching. These CFA Fellowships are two year residencies, and up to three artists or scholars may be appointed. The Fellowships are named in honor of Professor of Graphic Design, Raymond C. Morales–the first tenured faculty member appointed in the CFA from an underrepresented group.
