- Elected Distinguished Life Member (DLM) of The American Ceramic Society. The American Ceramic Society was founded in 1899. Beginning 1931 it started awarding DLM to select members. To date only a total of 170 DLM awards have been given with over hundreds of thousands of members. Current members are over 11,000.
