Research Summary

My research uses genetic and molecular approaches to study the signaling mechanisms of bacterial chemoreceptors and their associated proteins.  My research group has made important contributions to our current understanding of chemoreceptor structure and function, mechanisms of transmembrane signaling, and the sources of response cooperativity in receptor arrays.
