Biography

Dr. Marilyn Schneider, OTD, OTR/L has recently joined the faculty of the Department of Occupational and Recreational Therapies as an Assistant Professor, Clinical in occupational therapy, and is the Clinic Director of the Life Skills Clinic. Marilyn is a University of Utah alum, graduating with her MOT in 2017 and Post-professional OTD in 2021. Marilyn specializes in feeding interventions with trainings in the Get Permission Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, and the SOS Approach to Feeding. She also specializes in tic disorders and is a certified provider for Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). Since 2018, she has taken her work internationally as she collaborates with the Moroccan-American Institute for Rehabilitation in Marrakech, Morocco to provide occupation-based programming, training, and services to clinic staff and clientele.
