Research Summary
Broadly construed, my areas of specialization are environmental philosophy and complex systems theory. I write on topics that bridge the philosophy of science and applied ethics. The philosophy of science side of my research concerns problems of scale, strategies to model resilience, and the nature of boundaries. In applied ethics, I study practical issues within their social-ecological contexts that relate to climate change, conservation, and environmental justice.
