Tsai's research focuses on probability theory, particularly the asymptotic behaviors of large interacting particle systems, and the interplay among partial differential equations (PDEs), stochastic PDEs, and integrable probability.
- Ph.D., Mathematics, Stanford University
Tsai received his PhD in Mathematics from Stanford University in 2016. He conducted postdoctoral research at Columbia University, became a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Rutgers University in 2019, and joined Utah in 2022. Tsai is a 2016 Junior Fellow of the Simons Society of Fellows, is an awardee of the 2020 Bernoulli Society New Researcher Award, and is a 2022 Sloan Research Fellow.
