Biography

 

Erika Cespedes is a Costarican born commercial and fine art photographer. Her fine art work focuses on day to day narrative life events placed in natural settings, while her commercial work focuses on food photography, advertising, and people.

As a passionate artist and educator, Erika has worked with museums, schools, underserved communities, homeless shelters and at risk youth centers in Chicago, Palm Beach and Salt Lake. She believes students from all cultural backgrounds and socio-economic status deserve art in their life as a form of expression and personal growth.

Erika currently teaches photography, design and post-editing classes at university level. Her work has been published in world-renowned magazines, and commissioned by Publishers to create exquisite food imagery for book layouts and covers. Her fine art work continues to be displayed in several galleries and museums nationwide. She is currently working on a new body of work and writing an educational book on photography and post-production techniques.
