Research Statement

Kylie’s research focuses on workplace relationships and interpersonal dynamics. She is particularly interested in how the interaction between abilities (e.g. emotional intelligence, listening), personal qualities (e.g. relational self-efficacy; prosocial/citizenship motives), and environmental factors (e.g. relational climate, psychological safety, organizational culture) impact experiences of workplace relationships, including relationship satsifaction and workplace loneliness. She is also interested how workplace relationships develop and change over time, the various functions workplace relationships serve, and the role of executive coaching in helping people to develop the type of workplace relationships they desire.

Kylie’s research has been published in leading academic journals including The Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Organizational Research Methods, Human Resource Management Review, Group & Organization Management, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, and Frontiers in Psychology.
