Biography

Amber K. Bielinski is the Head of the BFA Stage Management program and Production Manager at the University of Utah. Previously, she was the Assistant Production Manager at ACT Theatre in Seattle, Washington, where she ran the ACTLab program – a second stage season that partners with local Seattle artists and fringe companies to serve as an experimental incubator and co-presents thrilling new works year round in all four of ACT Theatre’s performance spaces. She has taught stage management at Seattle University and the University of Iowa and has given master classes and lectures at Coe College, the University of Northern Iowa, and the Intiman Theatre as stage management mentor for the Intiman Emerging Artist Program.

Amber is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the American Guild of Musical Artists, and the Stage Manager’s Association. Her stage management credits include work on plays and musicals, opera, dance, Deaf theatre, theatre for young audiences, experimental and new works, and various regional touring productions. Her favorite past credits include work with the Washington National Opera, Utah Opera, Seattle Repertory Theatre, the Intiman Theatre, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Crossroads Repertory Theatre, Chautauqua Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre (ACT), the Icicle Creek New Play Festival, Revival Theatre Company, Riverside Theatre, CATCO, and the University of Iowa International Writing Program.

Amber received her MFA in Stage Management from the University of Iowa and her BA in Theatre Arts from Otterbein University where she specialized in both vocal performance and stage management.
