Research Summary

My current research focuses on the nexus between media and democracy in post-colonial societies. Specifically, I investigate the impact of the news media on politics and public opinion in Sub-Saharan Africa. My scholarship has appeared in journals and as book chapters. I received my Ph.D. in Politics (Communication) from the University of Limerick (Ireland) and M.A. in Media and Communications from the University of Leicester (UK).

Biography

I was born and raised in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria and migrated to England and later Ireland. There, I returned to college for a master's degree and doctoral studies, specialising in media and democracy. Currently living and teaching in South Korea.
