Research Summary

My research is at the intersection of power and energy systems, operations research, and economics. I am interested in development of computationally-efficient algorithms for power system operation, electricity market design and analysis, energy policy, and sustainable energy systems.

Biography

I am an associate professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Utah. My research interests lie at the intersection of power engineering, operations research, economics, and public policy. Specifically, I work on power system optimization, transmission system operation, electricity markets, energy and environmental economics and policy, and energy transition.

I received my Ph.D. in Energy Engineering from Penn State University in 2013. Before joining the University of Utah, I was a postdoctoral scholar at the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University.
