Biography

Mark Jansen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Utah. His primary research and teaching interests are in private equity, entrepreneurial finance, and household finance. Prior to joining the University of Utah, Dr. Jansen worked in the private equity industry as managing director at Holland Park Capital. During this time, Dr. Jansen was a member of the Young Presidents Organization. Prior to this Dr. Jansen worked in management consulting and in the chemical industry.  Dr. Jansen received a Ph.D. and Masters in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.B.A. from London Business School and a dual Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
