Biography

Andrew has been tutoring, teaching, and advising students for over a decade. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Gustavus Adolphus College, where he worked as a Writing Center tutor for three years. Andrew continued his studies at the University of Oregon, where he received his Master’s Degree and Doctorate in English. Since completing his education, he has served as an Academic Support Specialist for English-Learning Students as well as teaching literature and composition courses at Salt Lake Community College, Westminster College, and University of Utah. Across roles and institutions, Andrew has always served as an advocate for student success. He wants to help students understand how the University can help them pursue their passions and creative endeavors. When he’s out of the office, Andrew engages in a variety of nerdy endeavors from reading comic books to playing games with strange rules and too many dice. He also tries to keep his cat, James, placated.
