Teaching Philosophy

Economics is related to an average person’s daily life, through jobs, wages, prices, and asset values.  Successful economics teaching helps students to understand why the behavior of an economic system or a set of markets can have important implications for their personal well-being.  A better understanding of economics can help many students to find promising career opportunities and improve their personal lives. For those who are interested in the long-term viability and desirability of an economic system, economics teaching offers the opportunity of critical thinking and the possibility of intellectual search for an alternative system.
