Professional Service

  • ECE department Utah Asia Campus. Role: Associate Director, Department lead, and coordinator in Utah Asia Campus. 1. Grow the ECE dept. in Utah Asia Campus by organizing a variety of activities, networking, strategic planning, etc. (500% enrollment growth) 2. Design and implement strategic plans for retention e.g., coding camps, supporting student activities and clubs, student advising, etc. 3. Coordinate departmental affairs between the University of Utah and Utah Asia Campus 4. Co-design electrical engineering and computer engineering curriculums customized for Utah Asia Campus 4. Design and optimize ECE faculty long-term teaching plans 5. Schedule and coordinate offered courses and class times each semester 6. Lead and facilitate hiring Utah Asia Campus ECE faculty members and physics adjuncts (candidate selection, communication, interview schedules, etc.) 7. Mentor faculty members 8. Advertise and promote electrical engineering and computer engineering majors through social medias, special lectures, networking, etc. 9. Collaborate with Korean companies (e.g., Tencent Korea, Megazone Cloud) for organizing guest lectures, MOE, etc. 10. Represent ECE department on variety of committees in Utah Asia Campus, e.g., Faculty Advisory Committee, Community Building Committee, Utah Asia Campus Undergraduate Research Committee, etc.) 11. Co-organize ECE summer two-week research programs for Utah Asia Campus students 12. Organize and assign lab teaching assistants every semester and contracts 13 Extensive networking for bringing new opportunities for students (e.g., industry leaders, universities, etc.). 07/01/2023 - present
