Biography

 
Nathan Seegert is an associate professor of Finance (with tenure) at the University of Utah. He collaborates with policymakers and businesses to further our understanding of the economy. He co-created the Utah Economic Surveys, the Banking, Entrepreneurship, Regulations, and Taxes Study, and the Utah tax invitational (UTAXI) and was a co-PI of the Health and Economic Recovery Project (HERO).   His work has been published in top academic journals such as The Quarterly Journal of EconomicsThe Review of Economics and Statistics, The Journal of Finance, and the Journal of Public Economics. It has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Harvard Business Review, CBS MoneywatchForbesBloomberg, and The Atlantic. Nathan is a member of the Utah Governer's Economic Council, an Ivory-Boyer Real Estate Center Research Fellow, a Faculty Advisor for the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, partners with Texas AM Geoservicesand a David Eccles Faculty Fellow.
