Research Statement
Within the field of International Relations, my scholarly research is situated in the subfield of International Political Economy (IPE), with a focus on International Finance, Energy and Environmental Politics, and Research Methods. My research agenda has been supported by overseas fieldwork, participation in local and international workshops, and a strong policy orientation, which I developed while working as a Junior Program Officer in the Policy and Global Affairs Division of the National Academy of Science (NAS) prior to undertaking my PhD. Although all my work is theoretically informed, my research agenda also places a heavy emphasis on innovative methods and comparative policy analysis. By incorporating a comparative, multi-method perspective into my research, I hope to move beyond conventional policy approaches to better address the many challenges that we face in a globalized world.
