Dr. Hayes is originally from Westminster, Maryland. She attended Towson University for her undergraduate education prior to moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended graduate school at the University of Utah, where she received her Au.D. (clinical doctorate in audiology). She joined the Communication Sciences and Disorders Faculty in June 2019.

Dr. Hayes currently holds a position as a clinical supervisor. Prior to working for the University of Utah Communication Sciences and Disorders program, Dr. Hayes worked in a combined private practice and otolaryngology setting. She has worked in otolaryngology clinics around the Salt Lake valley, and currently splits her time between the CSD department and the University of Utah Hospital Audiology clinic. Her interests in audiology center around clinical diagnostics and adult amplification.
