Research Statement

My research is in clinical and quantitative psychology where I conduct basic and applied research on couples and families coping with psychological distress, psychopathology, and chronic health conditions. I have extensive expertise in the measurement and modeling of emotional and behavioral processes during dyadic interaction as well as the evaluation of how these processes change over time as a result of intervention. My work integrates multiple modalities of assessment including self-report, daily diary, cognitive performance tasks, observational coding methods, speech signal processing methods and natural language processing.
