Teaching Philosophy

I believe students and faculty have a responsibility to work together for best outcomes. By working together and communicating with each other, we learn from each other. We are all unique but collectively we have many similarities. With a respectful and inclusive learning environment we come to know each other and appreciate our differences and strengths. I believe in teaching relevant topic matter (even if it is not immediately relatable), integrating my skills and expertise in a topic area, using current evidence, and having industry partnerships so students are prepared for the practice environment. Importantly, I constantly learn that teaching is a learning experience. It is an honor and a privilege to be an educator.
