Biography

Kate was born and raised in rural Alberta, Canada. Her passion for wellness brought her to the U where she received an MS in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Coaching Wellness.  Kate's philosophy when it comes to health is that each individual has their own path to wellness and moving along that path should be an uplifting and enjoyable experience. All areas of wellness are connected and finding balance is about being mindful and motivated for change. Kate's favorite quote for wellness and for life is from Robert Fulghum: "Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw some and paint some and sing and dance and play and work everyday some."

When it comes to teaching, Kate's goal is to help students find their own passion for health and wellness. That passion - no matter the specific path of the student - is something that we can all develop in order to make a better tomorrow.
