Biography

Bill Evans is a shareholder at Parsons Behle & Latimer in Salt Lake City where he practices in the areas of public utility regulation and intellectual property. He is graduate of the University of Utah College of Law with an undergraduate degree in music. Bill's intellectual property practice evolved from his first career as a composer and orchestrator for films, records and television commercials. He serves as legal counsel for authors, publishers, composers, recording artists, playwrights, filmmakers and visual artists in a variety of contract and licensing transactions. His litigation experience includes representing clients in matters of copyright and trademark infringement, rights of privacy and publicity, unfair competition, and arts-related business disputes. He serves on the board of Utah Lawyers for the Arts and often lectures on copyright and art law.
