Research Statement

Dr. Luis Ibarra is an Associate Professor in the area of structural engineering. His current research includes seismic resilience of systems with special components, such as Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs); seismic performance of nuclear storage containers; collapse capacity methodologies, implementation of nonlinear dynamic capabilities in MOOSE software; and probabilistic risk assessment of nuclear components.
