Biography

Mrs. Ellie Hanagarne began dancing at Ballet Conservatory, in Lewisville, Texas where she was a member of LakeCities Ballet Theater. At age 14 she was accepted to attend Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual arts in Dallas, Texas. She has attended summer programs at Boston Ballet, The Rock School and Geoffrey.

Ellie received her BFA in ballet and modern dance from The Boston Conservatory where she was awarded a dance scholarship. Her performance in Anna Sokolow's "Magritte Magritte" was lauded in the Boston Herald as a solo that provided "a deep command of Sokolow's highly expressive, lyrical style." She completed her MFA in teaching and choreography for Ballet at the University of Utah.  She currently enjoys teaching at the University of Utah  as well as choreographing for local dance concerts.
